HIGH winds last night brought down trees across Oxfordshire.

Thames Valley Police's Roads Policing team have warned drivers to be extra careful on their journeys across the county, with the damage potentially affecting certain routes.

The force tweeted the warning alongside a picture of a fallen tree blocking part of the B4031 between Deddington and Chipping Norton.

Wind speed for the rest of the day is not expected to climb above 20mph, with gusts predicted to reach a maximum of 39mph.
