MEDICS who were deployed on a United Nations peacekeeping mission in South Sudan received medals in a special ceremony at RAF Brize Norton.
The team of 29 RAF healthcare personnel from the Defence Medical Services were posted under Operation Trenton in July.
They provided secondary healthcare medical treatment for more than 1,800 UN personnel, including during a major medical incident when a Ghanaian peacekeeping troop carrying vehicle overturned in a waterway.
The ceremony took place at the West Oxfordshire station's Tactical Medical Wing.
