OXFORD was left in awe yesterday afternoon after a stunning double rainbow appeared over the top of the dreaming spires.
After a day of intermittent showers, the clouds cleared at around 3pm to reveal the vibrant colours in the sky.
Hundreds stopped their Christmas shopping and other Sunday activities to try and capture the phenomenon on their cameras.
We've been inundated with images of the rainbows lighting up the Oxford skyline and here are some of our favourites.
