THERE have been a spate of burglaries in South Oxfordshire, with a car, handbags and jewellery stolen.
- Sometime between 6pm on Thursday and 1am on Friday thieves broke into a house in London Road, Milton Common, near Thame.
A first floor window was smashed and the home ransacked with cash and jewellery taken.
A white Mercedes Benz GL Class index O***MWG was also taken and later recovered in Bicester.
Police have appealed for witnesses to contact 101 quoting the reference number 43190010349.
There were also two burglaries in Abingdon.
- Between 3pm on Wednesday and 9am on Friday thieves also broke into a ground floor flat at Lady Eleanor Court, off Drayton Road, and stole a handbag containing cash.
- Between 8.30pm on Thursday and 6.50am on Friday, meanwhile, a property on Austin Place was broken into by smashing a glass back door.
A handbag and purse were taken.
- Finally, between 3.15pm and midnight on Friday thieves broke into a property on Littleworth Road, Benson, near Wallingford.
Nothing is believed to have been stolen.
Police think a blue Subaru pick-up truck index J***NJT could be involved in this burglary and have appealed for anyone with information to get in touch.
