A MAN has been crowned Oxfordshire painter and decorator of the year.
After winning hundreds of public votes, Jonny Jones, who runs J&J Decorating in Summertown, proved victorious.
His portfolio of standout work saw him claim the prize of £1,000 in Dulux Decorator Centre vouchers.
In the last 12 months, Mr Jones has worked on projects such as the bell tower at Lady Margaret Hall at Oxford University and transformed 140 windows in schools across the region.

He said: “I’ve grown J&J Decorating to seven employees and we have worked on lots of jobs over the past year. I’m surprised to have won - I want to thank everyone who voted for me.
“I’m proud of the work we do for our customers and the skills of the team that have been recognised with this award.”
The competition was run by Dulux Decorator Centre and Jack FM.
Gary Bilton, regional manager at Dulux Decorator Centre, said: “We know the talents of our local decorators and loved seeing the end results of their handiwork. That’s why we wanted to recognise and reward the best of the best and celebrate all that’s great about painting and decorating in Oxfordshire."
He added: “The response from those who entered the competition and the hundreds who voted shows there is a real appreciation in the region for the art of the applier."
