A SERIES of self-help groups for people struggling with sex and relationship addiction will start in Oxford tonight.

Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) has scheduled free sessions at St Margaret's Institute in North Oxford, taking place every Thursday.

The group will run a twelve-step course, covering topics such as healthy relationships.

Tonight's session starts at 7.30pm, the first week of the programme, and will be held in the building's Front Room.

The venue is a community centre run by a management committee on behalf of the Parochial Church Council of St Margaret's Church.

It offers a hall and several other rooms for private hire and community use, and lists Alcoholics Anonymous and Overeaters Anonymous among self-help groups that use its facilities.

For more information about the group and the Oxford sessions, visit SLAA's website.

Last year relationship charity Relate called for sex addiction to be recognised as a medical condition and for treatment to be made available on the NHS.
