SEPARATE crashes on the A34 caused major delays during this evening's rush hour.
Five miles of traffic formed after a collision on the southbound road near Oxford, near the Botley Interchange.
The crash is thought to have happened shortly before 5pm and congestion was also severe on the opposite side of the road, as drivers slowed to look.
Oxfordshire County Council warned of 'lengthy delays' and said a separate crash was also causing issues on the northbound A34, between Abingdon and Islip.
The northbound traffic has now cleared and the southbound traffic was starting to ease as of 5.50pm.
Emergency services were sent to the southbound scene but it is not yet known if anyone was injured in either collision.
