A COUNCIL is again being asked whether it wishes to purchase a play area for £1.
Didcot Town Council has been approached by East Hagbourne Parish Council about buying the land at St Anne's Close on the eastern edge of the town.
The council previously rejected the offer when it was made a year ago because of the cost of replacing the play equipment.
Councillors will be asked to consider the offer at a meeting this evening.
When the sale was last proposed, Didcot Town Council said East Hagbourne should approach South Oxfordshire District Council instead.

All the surrounding lane is owned by SODC.
Last time councillors were asked, they were also concerned they would become liable for the safety of those using the equipment.
It was also found to be of little value financially.
A report said: "If Didcot Town Council were to become the landowner, it would be responsible for either updating or removing the play area.
"For comparison of the costs involved in doing so the play area at Marsh Rec, admittedly significantly larger, cost over £70,000 and the removal of the Mendip Heights play area cost £10,000.
"By taking on ownership of the land the Town Council would be taking on a significant liability also."
