Thames Valley Police is also appealing about a separate burglary in North Oxford, which happened between 9am last Monday (February 4) and 5pm on Friday.
The force said the burglar managed to gain entry to the garage and then forced a door open to gain entry into the property itself.
A search of the entire house took place and jewellery was stolen.
Anyone with information about either incident can call police on 101 or make a report via the Thames Valley Police website.
