A PAEDOPHILE who solicited naked pictures from a child over Skype and downloaded more than 100 depraved images of child sex abuse has been jailed.

Pervert Kiran Singh was caught with numerous indecent images as well as sordid chat histories with under-age girls when police raided his Cowley home on June 15 2017.

As well as the sick images and videos of abuse investigating officers also discovered one bookmarked link on his computer which was labelled 'woman is beheaded and then f***ed'.

The 29-year old, of St Luke's Road, Oxford, had already admitted three counts of making indecent images, one of possessing prohibited images, another of possessing extreme pornography and two counts of intentionally encouraging the distribution of indecent images of children.

Oxford Crown Court heard at his sentencing hearing yesterday that once investigators had seized his computer equipment and scoured the devices they uncovered a stash of banned images of children.

In total Singh had 36 images and videos in the most serious category - A, 27 in category B and 73 in category C. He also had extreme pornography depicting bestiality and a prohibited image of a child.

Detailing Singh's use of Kik Messenger and Skype, Prosecutor Alexandra Bull said that on two further occasions he had offered to 'trade' images of children with others.

In one instance, she detailed to the court how Singh had befriended a 15-year old who cannot be named for legal reasons over Skype and said that the girl had sent Singh naked pictures of herself and of her performing a sex act.

He had also engaged in chats using Skype with girls in the UK, USA, Canada and across Europe.

Search terms that he had used and were found on the devices included 'sex with underage, what to do', ''how to change your voice to a girl on Skype' and 'brutal sex'.

Detailing the extent of the indecent images Miss Bull said that Singh had been caught with images depicting rape of children as young as two years old.

In mitigation his defence barrister John Bryant said that his client accepted he had a problem and wanted to get help.

Sentencing, Judge Peter Ross said: "Those who obtain these images [...] play a part in the world wide abuse of children. This is a commercial operation.

"[They are] subject to the most appalling sexual abuse and torture in order to provide sexual kicks for you and your fellow perverts."

Singh was jailed for a total of two years, three months.
