THE YOUNG school pupil from Didcot who died earlier this week has been named.
The 'tragic' death of Year 9 student Harry Storey was announced to parents and students of St Birinus School on Tuesday morning.
Parents at nearby Didcot Girls' School, which shares a sixth form with St Birinus School, were also told of the 13-year-old's death.
Few details have been released about the circumstances surrounding the schoolboy's death.
An inquest opening has been scheduled for next week and the listing confirmed the youngster died at the John Radcliffe Hospital on Monday.
Earlier in the week, the school said in a statement that the whole school community had been struck by the terrible news.
A joint statement from the school and Oxfordshire County Council said: "The whole school community is shocked and saddened by this terrible news and our thoughts are with the student’s family and friends at this difficult time.
"Support has been offered to students, staff and anyone else from the school community affected.
"We have set up a memorial book at the school for students to be able to record memories, insert photographs and pass on condolences."
Oxford Coroner's Court is expected to hold an inquest opening into the youngster's death on Tuesday, March 12.
It will be held at 12.30pm.
