HIGH winds are set to sweep across Oxfordshire this morning as the aftermath of Storm Gareth continues to affect much of the UK.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind until 1pm today, with a 'spell of gusty winds' expected to impact most of the country.

Drivers and public transport passengers have been warned to expect delays, with some journeys predicted to take longer due to the weather.

The Met Office also says short term loss of power and other services is possible in some areas.

"Thank you so much for your patience and understanding today. We look forward to seeing you soon."

Many parts of the county have been hit by rain this morning, but this is expected to clear later this morning, with some sunny spells around lunchtime.

The Met Office tweeted this forecast shortly after 7am this morning.
