A TOWN will soon be left without a single bank as the latest remaining branch has announced its closing.
Letters have been sent out to households in Carterton to inform residents of the closure of Barclays bank in Black Bourton Rd.
It follows the closure of two Lloyds banks in Carterton - the second largest town in West Oxfordshire - in September 2018.

Barclays Thames Valley Community banking director Matthew Bell said: "The way customers undertake their banking is changing as people increasingly use online, telephone and mobile devices.
"At Barclays Carterton branch, customer usage has continued to decline in the last two years alone."
The branch said only 90 customers use the counter service to undertake their banking in Carterton, leading to the 'difficult decision' to close.
Mr Bell added: "We hope that the availability of our nearest Barclays branch at Witney and at any local Post Office including Asda, 3 Black Bourton Road, Carterton, along with our range of digital channels will help to ease the transition for our customers."
The letter to residents confirmed that the branch will be closing on July 5 and said that signs will be put up and letters sent out to ensure everyone is aware of the closure.
For more details staff are available to answer questions in the bank.
