HUNDREDS of flyers for an Oxford hair studio were found dumped at a historic nature reserve.
Visitors to the CS Lewis Nature Reserve last Sunday were left outraged after discovering piles of flyers advertising Society Hair Studio in Oxford city centre.
Summertown resident Tom Beer, who took these photos, said he was disgusted to see the flyers strewn across grassland, bushes and at the bottom of a pond.
He said: “The dumping of flyers anywhere would be disgusting but the lack of respect for a specific area designated a nature reserve is just beyond contempt.”
It is not clear if the leaflets were given to a third party for distribution.
Society Hair Studio, in New Road, has been contacted for a comment.
The reserve, in Risinghurst, is described as a 'tranquil woodland', the large pond home to aquatic plants and toads that migrate to spawn.
A spokesperson for BBOWT which manages the site said: “We were made aware of the dumping of leaflets at our CS Lewis nature reserve on Wednesday this week and sent BBOWT staff to attend the site and clear the litter.

“Unfortunately, anti-social behaviours such as fly-tipping are a widespread problem across many of our reserves across Oxfordshire.
“These thoughtless acts cost BBOWT a huge amount of time and resource to rectify and can pose a real danger to the wildlife we are trying to protect."
