A NEW tearoom is set to open in a historic part of Abingdon.
Abingdon resident Claire Burton has applied for planning permission to change the official use of 7a East St Helen Street.
The unit, in between St Helens Dental Practice and The Workstation, was previously home to Belinda's Jewellery Box.

This plan comes after the closure, in December, of Rosie's Tea Room in nearby West St Helen Street.
The planning application is complicated by the fact the building at 7a East St Helen Street is both Grade II-listed and within the Abingdon Town Centre Conservation Area.
