RENOWNED poet Kate Clanchy has written a new book about teaching.
Ms Clanchy has worked with staff and students at Oxford Spires Academy as a writer-in-residence since 2009.
She was awarded the MBE by the Prince of Wales in February for services to literature.

Ms Clanchy’s new book is called Some Kids I Taught and What They Taught Me, and it will be published by Picador on April 4.

Fellow author Philip Pullman has praised the new study, saying: “The best book on teachers and children and writing that I’ve ever read.”
