SWIMMERS are hoping April will bring sunshine and not showers as they look forward to using Oxford’s Hinksey Pool.
The attraction at Hinksey Park off Abingdon Road opened on Monday for the summer season and could get busy from Monday as the Easter school holidays start.

The Met Office is not forecasting a heatwave over the next few days but there could be some sunny spells from Thursday.
City council deputy leader Linda Smith said: “Hinksey Pool is open for the season, and even though the weather can be unpredictable at this time of year the pool heating means that an outdoor dip is both enjoyable and invigorating.
"Thanks to a subsidy by Oxford City Council children swim free at several sessions each week and generously discounted concessionary rates are also available.
"Hinksey Pool is a brilliant community facility which has been enjoyed by generations of Oxford residents, last year was a very successful year for the facility and I hope this year will be even better.”
