POLICE have warned villagers of a potential doorstep scam in Kidlington.
Officers shared a message on social media this morning stating that an unknown man has been going door to door, asking for sponsorship money.
They said they had checked with the local sports centre and were told that there are 'no local sponsored events going on at this moment.'

A post on the TVP_Kidlington Twitter page this morning added: "Always check before you part with any money #dontgetcaughtout."
They did not give any further details about the man's story or which roads he had been reported in.
Last month trading standards officers released a warning after a rise in cold caller reports across Oxfordshire.
In the year to March 2018, doorstep criminals across the county are said to have pocketed an estimated £373,000 from scams.
