The Tube was 'unable to serve Grosvenor Gardens, Marble Arch and Notting Hill Gate due to the roadblock.

The X90 also experienced 'major issues', missing out its Baker Street/Marylebone Road and March Arch stops.

Explaining the protest, activist Fiona Cross, who has lived in Oxford since 1992, said: “We’ve got to try something because it is a emergency now and we’ve seen how politicians faff about and we haven’t got time.

"It will be become irreversible and needs to be taken seriously now.”
