LONDON marathon runners are being offered free bus trips to the capital on the day of the event.
The Oxford Bus Company's X90 service will take any runner from Oxford to London for free.
With hundreds of Oxfordshire residents expected to take part in the 26.2mile run, fundraisers are making their final preparations for the big day.
A statement from the company said: "On Sunday 28th April 2019, this year’s Virgin Money London Marathon will take place.
"Many residents of Oxford and surrounding towns have signed up to take part in this event, which raises millions of pounds for worthy charities every year.
"Here at the Oxford Bus Company we like to support good causes, and this year we're supporting London marathon runners again with free travel Oxford-London on the comfortable X90 coach service.
"To claim your free journey please show your London Marathon 2019 race number to your X90 driver and they will welcome you on board free of charge on Sunday 28th April.
"Oxford Bus Company wish you all the best for the London Marathon."
Chiltern railways have also offered to ferry passengers to London for the marathon.
The rail firm is also putting on extra services.
