OXFORD University signed more than one non-disclosure agreement a week with staff last year, new figures have revealed.

Freedom of Information data revealed to The Sunday Times has shown that the university used 68 of the agreements in 2017/2018, which can include redundancy deals and confidentiality clauses.

Warwick University used 339 NDAs, the most of any Russell Group university, and Exeter 159.

MPs have criticised the proliferation of NDAs, which can be used for legitimate commercial reasons, but could hide details of alleged harassment. Oxford University has not yet commented.
