A PROTEST will be planned in Oxford to rally against Donald Trump's visit to the UK.

Organisers of a future demonstration are due to meet in the city tonight, according to an event posted on social media, to 'discuss building the biggest possible turnout for local and national demonstrations during his visit.'

More than 100 people have expressed interest in attending the meeting from 7pm, for which a location has not yet been disclosed, which has been organised by the group Oxford Stand Up To Trump.

Last month Buckingham Palace announced that the US president will make a three-day state visit to the UK from June 3-5.

The president and First Lady will attend a ceremony in Portsmouth to mark 75 years since the D-Day landings.
