A POPULAR football course run by Oxford United's official charity is coming to Witney.
Oxford United in the Community's 'Future Talent Hub' starts on Wednesday at the artificial 3G Turf Pitch on Gordon Way and runs weekly until July 17.
Sessions for boys and girls aged four to seven will take place on Wednesdays from 5pm to 6pm, with eight to 12-year-olds invited to train at the same time every Thursday.
Youngsters will be taught a range of technical skills over the nine-week course, including coaching on passing, dribbling and shooting.
The charity's FA-qualified coaches will also take children through the key principles of attacking, defending and reading the game.
After completing the nine-week programme, every child will receive a progress report and players progressing well could be given the chance to trial for the charity's Emerging Talent programme.
Chris Lowes, head of operations at OUITC, said: “Our Future Talent Hubs are a fantastic way for children to learn and develop their basic football techniques.
"The courses are growing in popularity and we recommend parents book early.
“The hubs are designed for children to have fun and improve their skills in a nurturing and safe environment.
"They are delivered as part of the charity’s commitment to support active and healthy lifestyles among youngsters in Oxfordshire.”
