FREE compost giveaways could give north Oxfordshire gardeners a chance to reap the rewards of their recycling.
Food and garden waste collections from brown bins are made every fortnight, then composted at high temperatures at a plant in Ardley ,before being distributed to farmers, contributing to the resilience of local soils.
Cherwell District Council is hosting events on June 1 in Banbury, June 7 in Kidlington, and June 13 in Bicester, giving out free compost and recycle-themed freebies.
Each event will run from 9am to 1pm at Claremont car park, Bicester, at Exeter Hall in Kidlington and Thorpe Lane Depot, Banbury.
