A PERSON was rescued from a stream last night.
Two fire engines from Colne and Nelson Stations were called to Colne Water, close to Mill Green in Colne, at around 9.20pm.
They used a ladder and bolt croppers to rescue the person from the stream, who was then left in the care of the police.
A fire service spokesman said: "Two fire engines from Colne and Nelson attended Rodney Mill Green in Colne.
"Firefighters used a ladder and bolt croppers to rescue one person from a stream. The casualty was left in the care of the police."
