Two ambulances and a paramedic team leader in a rapid response vehicle from South Central Ambulance Service attended.

A Thames Valley Police spokesman today said the scene watch at the house, which is on the corner of Florence Park Road near The Jolly Postboys pub, was likely to remain in place until Wednesday and confirmed the man was still being treated in hospital.

The Oxford Times:

Forensic officers and around half a dozen police were at the Lytton Road home, believed to be one of two rented properties contained within the building, throughout yesterday.

A police cordon blocked the entrance to the street via Florence Park Road and residents inside the cordon had to be escorted to their homes.

Detective Superintendent Ian Hunter, head of Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit, in an update on Monday afternoon, said: “We continue to investigate the circumstances of this incident and are in the early stages however at this time we believe this to be an isolated incident and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident."

Police have refused to say whether the man in hospital is being treated as a suspect.
