A VILLAGE pub has new owners after being sold for £1.75m to Prospect Pubs and Bars.
The Evenlode in Eynsham has welcomed new owners who have in mind a further £1.2m renovation projects for the pub.
Plans include extending the dining and events area and new owners hope to add 24 new ensuite bedrooms.
A new menu will feature a range of pub classics and healthier options such as a colourful vegan superfood salad.
There will be a £10 roast dinner menu on Sundays, promising 'boat-sized Yorkies, real gravy and all the trimmings.'
David Keogh has taken up post as general manager, and has more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality trade, having previously overseen the award-winning Carnarvon Arms Hotel in Berkshire.
He said: "We’ve been really blown away by the warm welcome we’ve received since arriving at The Evenlode, and can’t wait to put this pub firmly back on the map.
"Feedback from the locals has been exceptionally positive so far, and I’m really looking forward to building our reputation as a top-notch pub that provides affordable, great tasting food for all the family."
To celebrate the launch of The Evenlode’s new menu, diners can download a 30 per cent off food voucher, valid until August 31 to all Evenlode Club members.
