THIS boat was believed to be the only exhibit from Oxford in the National Boat Show on December, 29 1955.
Called 'Juniper', the racing dinghy of the British Moth Class was built at Bossoms Boatyard on Medley Reach.
It was specially designed for racing on inland waters, but could also be used at sea.

Bossoms Boatyard was run by two young Portsmouth trained boatbuilders, John Ballance and Derek Bennett. Mr Ballance, pictured on the left, was the builder of the boat and Peter Gibbard did the finishing.
