DISUSED shops in Cowley will host a gig today after being transformed by a record label into a new music studio.
Independent production company Upcycled Sounds aims to create a 'thriving community gig space', with state-of-the-art equipment to turn empty units at 51 Between Towns Road, in Temple Cowley, into Oxford's newest recording studio.

Recycled items will be central to the venue, which hosts the launch gig from 7.30pm.
Upcycled Sounds, which is collaborating with arts charity Fusion Sounds, has run a nearby studio and record label for a year.
