A WITNEY man helped Great Britain achieve a bronze medal in the goalball competition at the European Para Youth Games in Finland.

Sam Hoskin was in the under 23 side that beat Romania 3-2 in a third-place play-off, after they lost to Germany in the semi-final.

Goalball is for visually-impaired athletes, where players aim to bowl a ball along the floor into the opposition's goal.

It is a fast-paced sport played by two teams of three players.
