In a tweet yesterday, police said the closure order was granted by Oxford Magistrates' Court 'following a significant number of reports of antisocial behaviour and criminality.'
The closure order came into force at midday on Friday, and will last for a period of three months.

A closure order prohibits access to a certain property for a specified period, no longer than three months.
A partial closure order means only part of the property is affected, or only certain people are banned.
Police described the Bath Street closure as 'complete', however.
Oxford City Council has been contacted for further information.
