'WHERE are we going wrong? That is the question being posed by Emma Williams, who is trying to find out why people in the Wantage area are not supporting events at a local venue.
Lains Barn is owned by the Vale and Downland Museum, in Wantage, which puts on events intended to raise money to keep the museum going.
But a race night planned for last Friday and a karaoke night for November 10 have been cancelled because of a lack of support.
Ms Williams, commercial manager for the museum, said: "We don't know why people are not supporting us.
"We want to know where we are going wrong.
"Is it the venue? Lains Barn is not the easiest place to get to. Or is it the sort of events we are promoting?
"We really would love to know so that we can put on things that people want.
"So my question to the people of Wantage is, She said the museum is a charity and the cancellation of events hits its finances badly.
She said: "We are trying to include the local community by hosting these events, but the lack of suppoort has been very disappointing."
Suggestions for events which could prove popular at Lains Barn should be left at the museum in Church Street marked for Ms Williams' attention.
