THE force of superheroes awoke at the weekend as Oswestry Leisure Centre hosted the eagerly-awaited sequel to last year's inaugural OzCon.
A giant Chewbacca, impressive stormtroopers and slightly annoying Jawas rubbed shoulders with Power Rangers, princesses and Transformers, along with hundreds of TV, movie, comic and video fans.
Christopher Ryan and Stephen O'Donnell of TV shows The Young Ones and Bottom made guest appearances and organiser Martin Portlock said he was delighted with the turnout over the two days.
He added: "I'm really proud that we've got not just people who regularly go to these conventions but also lots of families.
"It's a nice eclectic mix and there's lots for the kids to do which is great during the summer holidays."
Harry Potter, Fortnite and X-Wing Fighter games kept younger visitors entertained while the adults had their picture taken with their favourite aliens.
