A CRASH that blocked multiple lanes of the M40 and is causing three miles of traffic has been cleared.
The road traffic collision happened earlier this afternoon between junction 9 for Bicester and 8a for Oxford on the southbound carriageway.
Traffic officers were on the scene, with the crash causing delays of at least 45 minutes from the Waterstock Golf Club, just before junction 8a.

Yesterday, a vehicle fire and 'large' diesel spillage closed two lanes of the same stretch on the northbound carriageway.
Drivers claimed traffic was at a standstill at about 1.30pm, but the queues had cleared by 3pm.
