INNOVATIVE businesses gathered at Venturefest 2019 to pitch their products to potential investors.

The annual showcase for innovation and enterprise took place at Oxford Brookes University on Wednesday.

Employees and investors were at the university to show off ideas and new creations in Artificial Intelligence, Ageing Society, Clean Growth and the Future of Mobility.

Venturefest spokeswoman Michelle Miles said: “With so many new and innovative businesses vying for attention this year, Oxford Brookes hosted an Entrepreneurship Village, showcasing another 15 amazing companies.

“Add the 28 exhibition stands, and the overview of the county’s success was complete.

“Pitching for Success received a record 51 entries this year - the 20 companies selected to ‘pitch their wares’ to a panel of high profile investors and experts were rightly excited about the opportunity.”

Ms Miles added that the Technology Showcase featured a broad range of local businesses involved in four sessions including seven in the Future of Mobility sector.

The Innovation Showcase included nine of Oxfordshire’s most exciting medtech businesses, including Adaptix, TrustonTap and Nye Health.
