RURAL police officers have been on the case of suspected illegal hunters in Oxfordshire.
Thames Valley Police's team for South Oxfordshire and the Vale of the White Horse responded to reports of respected hare coursing in Ipsden last night at 7pm.

Police did not catch anyone when they arrived in Ipsden, a village in the Chilterns, three miles southeast of Wallingford.

TVP said: "No joy locating them this time but very welcome patrols of the area including Swyncombe and Ewelme."

Hare coursing is the practice of hunting hares with hounds.
It has been illegal in the UK since the 2000s, when laws were passed separately in Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Westminster which banned the practice.
