A JAPANESE Oxford United fan was surprised to meet a man from the city thousands of miles away in Japan.
Kotaro Sumita was walking home after watching Rugby World Cup match Wales v Fiji at Oita, Japan when a man noticed his Japan Yellows flag on his back.
The man, Paul Kelly, from Oxford called out from behind him asking why he had the flag.

Mr Sumita told the man that he is a Japanese OUFC fan and has visited Oxford many times.
It turned out that Mr Kelly has a friend, Reece Hill - who is an OUFC fan too - and Mr Sumita met him in Blackpool in August.
He said: “Many England fans came to Japan from Oxford, but the encounter happened at a Welsh match in a local city far away from Tokyo. Oxford everywhere.”
