Sir - In reply to the article (July 18) about the new website www.iwantgreatcare.org, no doctor I have talked to and certainly not myself are in favour of this website. I was not informed about it prior to being told that my name was on the site.
There is a complaints procedure in place in all health centres and there is always an opportunity for patients to thank us and talk to us about their care. Should patients and others be encouraged to mark us in this way? I think not, and am appalled at the way it has been put in place. It is open to abuse.
I suggest that Dr Bacon puts his mind to doing something that will benefit patients and the NHS.
Dr Gill Dean, GP in Oxford, Radley College
