Sir - Banbury Road and Woodstock Road are conservation areas and part of our heritage. Traffic along them should be banned, including buses.
Anyone from that area who does want to enter central Oxford could make their way somehow to the ring road, and thence to a park-and-ride, and in along the Abingdon Road or Botley Road.
Access to the High Street should be restricted to people with a valid Bodleian Library card. St Giles and Magdalen Bridge should be fenced off and reserved for university ceremonies and Morris dancing.
