A Bicester school that received an outstanding' Ofsted inspection report earlier this year received a visit from MP Tony Baldry, who congratulated the school.

The north Oxfordshire MP was joined by Oxfordshire County Council's cabinet minister for schools Michael Waine at King's Meadow School, earlier this month.

They were given a tour of the school in Shakespeare Drive by headteacher Tony Instone and deputy headteacher Jo Laybourn.

Mr Baldry was delighted to learn about the school's consistent academic success over recent years, as well as its sporting achievements and response to a range of national and local initiatives.

During the tour Mr Baldry and Mr Waine congratulated staff and watched pupils involved in a range of activities, including Year Four student who shared their research about life in Kenyan schools.

Mr Baldry said: "I congratulated King's Meadow on its recent Ofsted, I learned about its plans for further developments and I look forward to hearing of its successes in the future."
