Youngsters have been celebrating the end of their first year in a new super-school'.
Governors, teachers and children at Elms Road Nursery in Botley, Oxford, held a summer garden party before breaking up for the holiday.
The combined premises, which are home to the nursery and Botley Primary School, was built last year to replace a cramped Second World War-era building, which has since been bulldozed.
The former site is being used for flats.
About 100 people attended the nursery picnic on Friday which saw families and governors cut a birthday cake and enjoy the school's facilities.
Nursery headteacher Alison Brockliss said: "We were absolutely packed out for our birthday picnic.
"The first year has gone brilliantly. It has been a real success.
"The old building was very cramped with low ceilings, but our new building is light and airy and the kids absolutely love it."
