Courtesy and efficiency in business - where have they gone? I have written before on the subject, but things have not improved: Account query not acknowledged by a national company - sent June 2, 2008.

Telephone call received from a company asking me if I am satisfied with their product (which I have never purchased or even inquired about!).

Telephone call from a company (at great length) informing me its name and telephone number had changed (letter in January 2008 gave me all this information!).

Letter sent to a local authority about a defect, July 1, 2008 - no reply to date. I pointed out in my letter that the matter had first been raised more than 12 months ago - it obviously had no effect, although I believe the defect was examined on Christmas Eve 2007!

Important parcel delivered by a delivery company - addressed correctly, but left at a property four or five doors away. (The householder brought me the parcel later that day).

What more can I say?
