A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a student accused of a stabbing who failed to turn up at court.
Oxford Crown Court heard Hussein Zada, of Botley Road, Oxford, had not been in contact with police since the beginning of June.
Jamie De Burgos, prosecuting, said border police and Interpol had been told about Zada's disappearance.
The 19-year-old is accused of causing grievous bodily harm with intent to Turkan Akyuz, 37, in Cowley Road on May 21.
He had been due to enter a plea on Friday.
Judge Patrick Eccles issued a warrant for his arrest.
