A Bicester school has taken part in a record-breaking football event which saw 465,000 girls from 5,000 schools play the sport at the same time to celebrate International Women's Day.

The Bicester School saw 16 pupils take part in the 'Biggest Ever Football Session', organised to get as many girls as possible into the sport.

Last year saw 285,000 girls take part across the country, with this year breaking the record for the events highest participation figure.

While there weren't enough girls to hold an interhouse competition, the girls at The Bicester School took part in a game on the Friday afternoon.

Two other pupils from the school volunteered to referee the match.
