Nearly 300 pupils from a Bicester primary school were treated to a storytelling event to mark World Book Day last week.
Mark Fraser, an experienced storyteller, led the event for the Southwold Primary School children, taking the them through a number of tales.
World Book Day aims to inspire a love of reading among children worldwide, providing each young person with an opportunity to own a book.
Claire Palser, assistant headteacher, said: "This has been an amazing experience for our children.
"They were totally transfixed on Mark and his storytelling and didn’t want his stories to end.
"We’d like to thank David Wilson Homes for providing our school with such an amazing opportunity."
Mr Fraser said: "It was a great privilege to be able to share these wonderful stories with the pupils at Southwold Primary School.
"It always amazes me that children will engage, create and be enraptured by storytelling, and it’s wonderful to see large corporate businesses supporting and encouraging such creativity."
The event, hosted by David Wilson Homes, took place near the developer's Hemins Place development.
