Armed Forces Day will give Bicester residents a chance to revel in the town's military history.

The town council will hold an event at Pingle Field on June 29, promising "a wholesome day of sunshine, demonstrations, marches, music, and much more," according to the council.

It has invited people to get involved in the annual celebration of the armed forces, which will feature food tasting, businesses, and activities for all ages.

The council said: "Armed Forces Day 2024 allows us to take great pride in the country's armed forces and allows us to celebrate the wide military presence we have in Bicester."

There will be access for wheelchairs and pushchairs but the event will be on grass.

On-site parking is not available and dogs are welcome, but must be on a lead at all times.
