A BMW was used as a getaway vehicle after burglars stole jewellery, cash and a safe, police said.

Offenders gained entry to a home in Tiddington near Thame by smashing a rear door and rear dining room windows on April 24.

Once inside the burglars carried out a “messy” search within the property and were said to target jewellery, cash and a safe.

They were disturbed by attending police officers but managed to get away between 1.55pm and 2.15pm.

It is believed a black BMW 3 series was used to assist them.

Thames Valley Police have launched an investigation into the incident and have asked anyone with information to come forward.

The force also said anyone who has CCTV or Doorbell footage to call 101 or use webform 101, quoting reference 43240188175.
