A new post office is set to open in Oxford in early June.

The new branch will open its doors at Midcounties Co-op, 74 Rose Hill, Oxford, on June 6 at 1pm.

It will offer a range of services, including posting letters and parcels, and collection and return of online shopping items.

Numerous banking services such as cash withdrawals and balance enquires for all main UK banks, as well as car tax renewals, passport checks, and MoneyGram services will also be available.

The new Post Office's services will be available from Monday to Friday from 9am – 5.30pm, and on Saturday from 9am – 2pm.

This adds up to 47 hours and 30 minutes of service each week.

The new branch aims to offer more convenience to Post Office customers by extending the availability of services in the area.

Damien Haydock, Post Office network provision lead, said: "We want to make it as easy as possible for customers to pay their bills, withdraw cash from their bank accounts, and send and collect their mail at a time and place that suits them best.

"We know how important our services are to customers, and are confident that this brand new Post Office will ensure that people in the Rose Hill area of Oxford have easy access to our services.”
