A new networking club with a sparkle is being launched in Oxford.
Only Connect promises to combine both social and business networking in one event with "friends, entrepreneurs, eccentrics, artists, actors and professionals of all ages" invited to get together and enjoy a glass of champagne together.
Organiser Max Mason, owner of the Big Bang sausage restaurant in Oxford, said: "It couldn't come at a better time. The economy is in dire straits and many sectors of society are finding it more difficult to make a profit in their markets.
"Oxfordshire is about to release a brand new tourism strategy, which will be encouraging everyone to work more cleverly together."
Only Connect is already running successfully in Bristol and Cardiff. Now Mr Mason is confident of establishing the format in Oxford.
The first meeting will be held on October 23 at The Corner Club, Turl Street, OX1 3DH at 7.30am. Tickets cost £15 in advance or £20 on the door.
