A SCIENCE fun day attracted more than 500 people at the weekend.
Adults and children visited Oxford Brookes University’s Gipsy Lane campus in Headington to take part in a science festival.
All activities and workshops at the event were full. A range of hands-on scientific experiments was on offer held, including fitness tests, bridge building and getting your body ready for the Olympics.
Also taking part were eight-year-old twins Kathryn and Elizabeth Baker, from Summertown, Oxford.
Kathryn said: “I really liked the flower workshop. We learned that Christmas roses have 17 petals and other roses have 33 petals.”
University spokesman David Penney said: “It was a really popular day attracting people from all over Oxfordshire. The most popular workshop was Is Your Body Ready For The Olympics?”
